Janet Yellen has said at the just concluded Federal Reserve Open Markets Meeting (“FOMC”) what many investors have been thinking along: there will be no interest rate hike, for now. So is it time for Singapore investors to go back into the Singapore stocks markets and start buying stocks?Personally, many will welcome Janet Yellen’s speech as stocks markets will then not become volatile. However, I believe that many investors and fund managers have already factored in the fact that there will be no interest rate hike some time back already and hence Janet Yellen’s speech, in my opinion will not be that surprising to investors.
