What is the system

The system can practically be summed up in this diagram, shown in the book. Whenever you receive something, be it a new instruction, email, or just information, it goes into your in-basket. Ask yourself, is this "stuff" actionable? If it is not, determine whether you want to trash it (throw it away), keep it (don't want to throw but might need it in future), or reference it (important stuff).
