Though I started only attending previews last two years only, All these gurus are making money from conducting their very expensive courses NOT from their know-how. Most of what they teach can be gotten from blogs, Internet, Google and investopedia.
If their secret sauces are so successful, they wouldn’t have the time to run courses, but would be too busy making money. Honestly, I love attending their free talks as many of them are quite entertaining. Better still some even provide free food but must not take them seriously. Go and attend esp. for retirees with time on hands.
Today, free talks are also available from hospitals, SGX, Govt bodies educating the publics (haha…doctors and lawyers can’t advertise, free talks is a way to promote themselves. The only cost is transportations. Sometimes, you get free goodies bag, free lunch or dinner and free entertainments. Enjoy!
