How Much should You Save Each Month in Your 20s?

This is one question that I get a lot from people I interact with for the first time. This is especially good if it comes from a person just about to start work, or have started work for one or two years. However, when they ask this question, sometimes that is not the question that they are trying to find out. The question they want to find out: I want to spend but I want to do the sensible thing, just tell me how much percentage of my take home pay I should save, so that I look like I am somewhat of a responsible person. Most people are not enlighten how powerful building wealth can be, and to most, because they cannot see the potential, the priority to build wealth is very low among their immediate goals.
