Dear readers, in 1987, stocks markets around the world crashed. In 1997, we had the Asian financial crisis. In 2007, the financial crisis which involved the collapse of the Lehman Brothers occurred. Hence, there is an investment camp which is thinking whether the world will have another financial crisis ten years later in 2017.

And with stocks markets globally beginning to retreat this month, many ask whether the world will be headed into a financial meltdown again if the aforementioned cycle is correct. My own take for the above is for investors to have an investment portfolio which they can hold for the long term. And if the time comes to buy good stocks at attractive discounts, then we should buy these stocks when these opportunities arise.
