A father was furious with his 3 year old daughter for decorating a box under the Christmas tree with a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and they were having a hard time trying to make ends meet. The next morning, the little girl brought the gift to her father and said, “This is for you, Daddy. Merry Christmas! ”
The father was embarrassed by his earlier actions, but his anger flared again when he found out that the box was empty. He yelled at her, shouting, “Don’t you know when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, “Oh, Daddy, it’s not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They’re all for you, Daddy.”
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness ...
There are many things in life to cherish. Most of them are intangibles. We, humans take too many things for granted. As simple as a joy to walk can be overlooked till you are bedridden for a week on your back.
Now I walk, bathe and stand to pee. It is a great joy.
