Dual key units have taken the Singapore residential property and investment market by storm in the recent years. Dual key units actually aren’t present just in Singapore but also in Australia, though it is a relatively new property type. For the uninitiated, dual key units in layman terms can be described as 2 units in one. The more technical explanation is where there are 2 homes sharing a common foyer in a single title. Dual key units were first introduced in the Caspain project by Frasers Centrepoint in 2009. Soon after, this housing format took off when owners and investors realized the potential for making good returns with this housing type.
