When I examined Singapore Press Holding's sunset industry in print media, I was given a stark reminder that we need to be forward-looking, and to always look for new investment opportunities wherever they arise. I've been doing some reading on fintech, e-wallets, and blockchain technology - this could prove to be a huge area for future growth. This brings us to Chinese tech giant Tencent Holdings (0700.HK). Tencent is the mastermind behind WeChat, and their core revenue comes from various holdings including video gaming, digital sales, online advertising, and electronic payment. Various major Tencent subsidiaries have decent synergy, allowing for smoother integration and partnerships. First off - thank you very much for stopping by! I really appreciate it. I hope to see this little blog of mine grow. I started this blog in February 2016, and if I could inspire just one person to move towards financial independence, then it would all be worth it. I've wanted to start a finance/investment blog for years, but I just never got around to it. I finally decided to get off my ass and make one. A little background about me - I majored in Business Admin in university, along with a Minor in Finance. I joined the workforce when I was 24 (in 2015), and I was fortunate enough to get a full-time job in the banking industry (Forex, to be exact) after doing a couple of temp jobs around the island.
