We have probably heard of or even know someone who had cancer.
Because the odds are real – 37 people get diagnosed with cancer everyday, according to the Singapore Cancer Registry. Cancer cases are also rising sharply in Singapore, especially breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men, with breast cancer more than doubling over the past 40 years.
The worst part is that cancer does not discriminate. We used to think it’s the old, unhealthy or those with family history who are at risk of falling ill. But nowadays we hear of young healthy people, even children being diagnosed with cancer and there seems to be no hiding from it.
