By Turtle Investor  •  July 31, 2019

It’s here!

Come August, and it will be the climax of the year for many dividend investors in Singapore. Public service announcement! Biannual dividend of SPDR Straits Times Index ETF (ES3) is here.

Ex-date is 2nd August 2019 (Friday) so take note if you’re going to be making any transactions soon. The distribution will be payable on 21 August 2019.

Feb 2019 Dividends : SGD 0.056
Aug 2019 Dividends : SGD 0.064

Adding up the two, we get a total of S$0.12 for the year 2019. Some basic numbers if you’re interested, that’s a current yield of 3.55% (and a cost yield of 3.86% for myself, if you’re curious).

Even better is the 1,000 units I bought using CPF-OA : a very decent 4.36% 😛

Hello there! I am Kevin and the author behind the Turtle Investor blog. At age 37, I hit CPF Full Retirement Sum (FRS) of $176,000 on the last day of 2019, twelve years after graduating from university. I am married and owns a 4-room apartment. I continue to be gainfully employed to build up my portfolio and provide my loved ones with better lives. Leaving everything behind and transitioning to a digital nomad life in Bali remains an option but not something that I’m actively pursuing now 🙂

Hi Kevin, greetings! I purchased SPDR STI ETF ES3 from iOCBC, using my SRS account on 30th July 2019. From your article, I note that dividends were paid on 21st Aug. I checked my iOCBC and my bank account linked to CDP, and i did not get the dividends. Who can i reach out to find out more? Appreciate if you can advise me. Thank you!
