I started a small portfolio in 2018 for my Wife. March 2018 to be exact. The goal is to invest the remaining cash in our combine household expenditure account. There is some surplus most months and I thought it will be better investing the “savings”. When the first dividend was distributed into her account, I told her that she has received S$ 43.60 from Starhill Global REIT. She literally gave me this huh look: And her response was, “I can’t even buy a pair of shoes.” That’s her classic response and how she measures a decent return from any investment.
