Hi. I just started investing. A little late I know for a man in my sixties. I bought the uob, ocbc, dbs and capitaland mall trust. All doing well. Pure luck people would say.

Could you suggest some stable and safe shares that I should buy. I don’t mind keeping for long term. Hope to pass the money for my grandchildren. Meaning don’t mind keeping for 15 years even. Thanks.

Go and read up on all the 5 to 10 years histories of STI components stocks.

And then see what picture of SGX U have.

And then maybe U have a better idea what to do next?

That was how i started from scratch at the age of 40 with only an ITE education.

Of course i went to NLB almost daily and read like mad every investment books that was

    practical to me.

Some too much and too deep on theory and research which i could hardly understand, i

    flipped through.

    Don’t just listen to anybody..

U have to find yourself and listen to yourself.

Don’t think there is a short cut in life.

Maybe there is, born a son of multi-millionaire.

    ” 活到老,学到老” is my motto.

i think i can learn something U too if your age is 60+

    Shalom.
