Genting SP plan to borrow S$4.2 billion to pay loan!

On 09/Dec, Singapore shares end higher Thursday as Sydney reported a strong employment report today. STI ended higher at 3210.20 (0.2%) with LOW VOL of 1.51 billion shares traded compared with 1.37 billion shares Wednesday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 284 to 178.  STI trading volume has increased today on possibility that US S&P 500 may be able to break its critical resistance in this week. Headline in STI After market close SIA Engineering Co. (S59.SG) has signed a contract worth S$300 million with SilkAir for maintenance, repair and overhaul and fleet management services.
