Singapore REITS (S-REITS) has been one of the best performing sector. According to OCBC Investment Research report dated 8 Oct 2012, this sector's YTD Return is 36.1%. Fortune REIT, AIMS REPIT and Frasers Commerical Trust have registered YTD Return of more than 50%. Thus it may be inevitable that there is alot of attention focusing on this sector. The performance of S-REITS may also have created a misperception on its future performance. Those who have not invested in S-REITS before and may intend to, some are expecting the same level of future price performance. To me, i think it may be relative safer if one is viewing from a DPU yield perspective, rather than price appreciation perspective.
