Flattening Yield Curve and Sell in May?

We are in May again and I managed to retrieve an extract of a write up that I have penned last year. For a start, I did an eyeball screen of the performance of STI from the end of April till June for the past 15 years with the starting point being 2002.   Here are my findings, out of 15 years: 10 years are down- 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. 2 years are up- 2003 and 2007 4 years are flat- 2005, 2009, 2014 and 2017. For May 2017, it was flat too so we have 4 years of flat markets in May since 2002. So this year, we are approaching May with generally good vibes with not many catalysts for a big drop in sight.
