We are probably behind time for most of our posts as the Minimalist in the City household has been busy with parenting a pre-schooler and toddler, as well both Kate and myself being working parents. Time really flies as we are more than halfway through the countdown towards our FI date.

A confession here though – we might not achieve FI on our original projected FI date set on 30th June 2020.

A few things has happened along the way and as regular readers of this blog would know, Kate took a  one year sabbatical from work, we had also significantly topped up our parents’ CPF, which depleted quite a bit of funds. Nevertheless, we are determined to continue this countdown as it is a good platform for us to chronicle our thoughts and journey. Setting a timeline for our FI journey really helped a lot in putting things into perspective,
