COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Bill: Can I Leave My Home During the Circuit Breaker Period?

Remember when the government advised against holding and participating in social gatherings with more than 10 people to combat the COVID-19 outbreak?

Well, the passing of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Bill on 7 April 2020, means that social gatherings of ANY size, in homes or public spaces, will no longer be allowed.

And this is all governed by this particular control order: COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

FYI: the movement restrictions will be in place throughout the circuit breaker period and starts from 7 April to 4 May 2020.

So…

You’re probably wondering, “Can I still head out of my home to visit my boyfriend or girlfriend?”

“Can I go out to get a haircut?”

Or perhaps, “Can I nip out to get some cat food for my 5,432,987 cats at home?”
