David vs Goliath: Epic Games vs. Apple

As an avid gamer in my younger days from games such as Neopets/Runescape to Maplestory/World of Warcraft, it is definitely interesting watching the rise of gaming companies. I remember the days when my parents (quite sure your parents said similar words) told me theres no future in playing games, how wrong they were! Jokes aside, a recent news surfaced on how Epic Games, famous for their game Fortnite was kicked off Apple Store and Google Play Store. The reason for this was because Epic Games implemented a new update where it allows for its own in-app payment system, bypassing Apple’s standard 30% commission cut. Google Play kicked Epic Games off their platform as well; however, as Android works on an open platform, users are still able to download Epic Games onto their phone just not through Google Play Store.
