It’s safe to say that you have heard of Microsoft and used many of its products. Indeed, Microsoft is one of the most successful technology companies worldwide since it was founded 45 years ago by the legendary Bill Gates. It is also the third largest company listed in the U.S. (as of 2 September 2020). Microsoft’s success intrigues me, so I proceeded to dig up more about the company’s business model from an investor’s perspective, and how Microsoft generates its revenues.
