SGX pioneers use of SingPass to authorise CDP transactions

Singapore Exchange (SGX:S68) (SGX)will be pioneering the use of SingPass to authorise transactions for SGX’s Central Depository (CDP) from 26 October 2020. The use of SingPass for CDP Internet online services is part of the bigger plan to allow 1.2 million CDP customers to view their securities portfolio online in real time via CDP Internet. Customers will also have free access to 24 months of past account statements and 60 days of CDP notifications, and is part of SGX’s ‘CDP Goes Digital’ initiative. As part of the initiative, SGX has introduced the one-stop mobile friendly Investor Portal which supports investors in their investment journey with CDP Internet services as well as investment information like Market Information, Stock Screeners and more. Other services under the initiative includes:
  • Direct Foreign Currency Conversion where investors receive foreign currency cash distributions in Singapore dollars in their bank accounts through SGX’s Direct Crediting Service.
