Similar to normal stocks, there are different sectors for SREIT. For me, I have classified it into 6 sectors, which are Retail, Office, Healthcare, Hospital, Industrial and Logistics. For the industrial sector, different people would classify it differently. For instance, most would consider logistics and industrial as one sector. Some would separate out the data centre as a dedicated REIT sector. There is no right or wrong way, I view both logistics and data centre as a subset of industrial.
There are more and more SREITs diversifying and having more than one sector of properties. For example, CapitaLand Retail China Trust recently just expanded its mandate to acquire properties in office, industrial and logistics sectors. Another example would be the merger of CapitaLand Mall Trust
