This post is to record and share my experience from pre-op to op to post-op. Day surgery is where you can go home on the same day after the procedure while inpatient surgery is where you have to stay for at least one night for recovery and supervision. I will be covering day surgery in this article. If I am lucky/unlucky in the future, I will write about inpatient surgery too. Your experience might differ due to the hospital and type of surgery.
