Bendemeer Light was launched in the 2012 May BTO exercise alongside 5 other projects – Two in Punggol, one in Choa Chu Kang, one in Sengkang, and another in the Kallang/Whampoa estate (same as Bendemeer Light). No prizes for guessing which estate was the most popular. Prices of both the 3 and 4-room flats were going at around $360,000 and $525,000 respectively, making it relatively costly for a BTO, but it certainly didn’t stop people from applying anyway.
