Index Funds don’t have an ego

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝟭: 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝟮: 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. The good news about the recent market turmoils is that Index Funds don’t have an ego. They won’t commit fraud against you or gate your withdrawals or transfer your money from one company to the next to cover losses made from idiotic mistakes. You’re never going to get caught up in a Ponzi Scheme investing in a total stock market index fund. Yes, saving money regularly into index funds is boring. And you can’t brag about boring to your friends & co-workers. But when the boring stuff doesn’t work it usually means underperformance. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. Once again: Survival is an underrated quality for success. Does anybody have an opinion about that?
