My Self-Employed Journey – Part 1: Why and How I Become Self-Employed

Growing up, I didn’t know what I want to be. I went through the same motion that everyone goes through: go to school, go to poly/uni, find a job. I enjoyed my time in school, however, I didn’t exactly enjoy my working life. When I was in my first job, I figured, maybe I didn’t enjoy working because I didn’t like my role, so I changed job. Well, after changing to my second job where I held a different role, I still didn’t like what I do. I love the friendships that I made with my colleagues and bosses, don’t get me wrong, but I just didn’t find any meaning or purpose in what I do. I didn’t feel that I contributed anything to the world. I felt that I was just merely wasting my time on earth. Up to that time, I knew I didn’t like my industry....
