AMA Q&A Part #1 – What’s my savings/investment ratio.

Questions from instagram followers. There was a question on how much was my savings/investment/salary ratio when I first started working. That's 15 years ago, man I feel old. This may sound a little shocking to most people but I was always around 90% invested. I was able to carry on like this for at least a good 8-10 years I supposed? I used to travel alot for work. Thus, most of my expenses were actually paid for. Transport, meals, laundry and I also have per diem, so that's extra daily cash. I was fortunate to have a relatively good paying job right from the start with so much travelling involved, that I hated going on holidays. Haha, so that's another huge chunk of savings. A father on career break ( or career suicide) so he can spend more time with the kids and also to refocus his life and career. Random musings ( investment, kids, current affairs, TV shows and what not) of his everyday life as a "full time parent" depending on his passive income to pay for his part of expenses at home. Fortunate to have a very supportive wife ( who by the way prefers me to be at home all the time than to travel for work all the time) and 2 cute kids.
