This quarter had been an interesting one, with the Federal Reserve finally cutting interest rates by 50 basis points on 18 September 2024. This decreases the federal funds rate to a range from 4.75% to 5.00%, and there is also speculation that there may be a further interest rate cut before the end of 2024.
