Time to take profits or just ride the wave?

On my previous post, I mentioned about my investment portfolio reaching ATHs. When things get a little too high, I do always wonder if I should be taking profit but at the same time thinking what if I took profit and it continues going up? Or if I took profit, where should I invest it into, ETFs? It is a dilemma and something that I struggle with in a bull market. In a bear market, you can go ahead and buy as long as you still have income as you know the recovery will come but in a bull market, do you continue to add or sell some to secure some profits? I am currently a 23 year old university student in SIM. I hope to be able to grow my money and see the power of compound interest. I became interested in investing when I took a gap year and worked full-time. I realized that by just saving, it was very difficult to achieve my financial goals hence i read up on investing.
