SingFinance GoSavers Account Review: Fuss-free 2.28% p.a. Interest

I recently did an article and video on fuss-free accounts to use for interest, and a viewer pointed out that I missed out SIF GoSavers Account. The name rang a bell, and I realised I covered it before in early 2023. It wasn’t particularly impressive then, but in mid-2025, SIF GoSavers Account compares pretty favourably to other fuss-free accounts in the market. At 2.28% p.a., the account comes in higher than multiple banks which are mostly offering under 2% p.a. for savings accounts that don’t need pesky requirements. So… is there a catch? MAS licensed, SDIC-insured… but not a bank? The last time I talked about this account years ago, I erroneously mentioned that SingFinance (SIF) was a bank. It is in fact not a bank, though under some MAS licensing mambo jambo the company is able to offer bank-like services. As an adult, I’ve been through many ups and downs in my career path and personal finance journey, not unlike many Singaporeans. From my years as a tied insurance agent turned independent financial adviser, I realised that there are very few sources of proper, unbiased financial advice for working adults to access. Worse, self-styled “financial consultants” are selling products like savings plans and ILPs to the detriment of the clients whose interests they were supposed to serve.
