Excluded by many cards, utility bills are one of those tricky categories to get credit card rewards on. As of late 2025, however, there are still a bunch of cards that give cashback or miles on such transactions.
Utilities tend to code as Merchant Category Code (MCC) 4900, so if your card does not explicitly exclude this MCC or utilities, there’s a good chance you can get your card rewards on them. Here are some cards I managed to find that should work well with utility transactions.
Cashback Cards For Utilities
Aside from OCBC 365 and UOB One that require minimum spends per month/quarter, the rest of the cashback cards here do not require any minimum spend to earn cashback on utilities. Correspondingly, the rewards are also on the lower side.
