While the financial aspect of life is important, for me, as I get older, health is now my number 1 priority. Health, be it mental or physical health.
2) Family
I took a nine-day break at the beginning of December, and as I’m writing this, I’m still technically on leave, easing myself back into the thought of work next week. We didn’t go far—just Bangkok—but somehow even a short trip can feel like a reset. Initially, I wasn’t even sure my leave would be approved. I told my wife to go ahead with the kids if it wasn’t, and I had already accepted that I might lose the money for my own air tickets. It sounds dramatic now, but that uncertainty made the eventual approval feel like a small blessing....
