I’ve spent enough time in Thailand (28 days on my last trip, to be exact) to know that a trip to Bangkok doesn’t have to be expensive. A relaxing vacation without breaking the bank? Very doable. In fact, 8 days and 7 nights in Bangkok can cost you under $600 per person, with flight, hotel, food, and transport all accounted for. Not a theoretical budget, but one I’ve tested and lived.
And before you think “budget” means roughing it, it doesn’t. We’re talking clean rooms, safe neighbourhoods, easy access to trains, great food, and all the amenities (7-Elevens, malls, and supermarkets) you need. Just without the price tag.
To be clear, this isn’t about pinching every penny. I can afford to splurge, and sometimes I do. But I’ve learned that great holidays aren’t about how much you spend. They’re about the memories you create and enjoying the process of travel. That works just as well on a budget trip...
