A HDB shop in Marine Parade was sold for $25 million by the auction team at Knight Frank Singapore. The 17,825 sq ft unit at 86 Marine Parade Central has been sold to a training centre operator, and the sale price translates to $1,402 psf. The large, single-storey commercial unit had been occupied by Popular bookstore for over 37 years until the store closed in 2023, and it had been vacant for several months before it was listed for sale, according to EdgeProp. The unit was put up for sale by the owner in October 2025 and marketed by Knight Frank. At the time, the unit had an asking price of $38 million ($2,132 psf).
