Life Is Fair, Just Not In The Way You Expect It To Be

A lot of people talk or think about whether life is fair, or they say life isn't fair, etc etc. Now, for this post I'm talking about fairness in the things that can be controlled. ie, not random situations, like striking lottery, or someone getting some kind of genetic illness, or a parent with a disabled child. Rather, I'm going to be discussing controllable actions, like hard work, and good decisions, etc. So a lot of people would think it is unfair that a hard worker gets passed for promotion, and a co-worker who carries the balls of the boss gets promoted. And the deeper question I get from this is... Why is this deemed unfair? You see, when we talk about fairness, most of the time, we have some kind of moral linkage to this fairness. Someone works hard and should be rewarded. The co-worker who sleeps with the boss, shouldn't be rewarded....
