Donald Trump Waived Oil Sanctions On Iran- Good Signs of Progress For Final Peace Deal.

The grant of a 60-day general license by US authorizing the production, delivery and sale of Iranian oil, albeit temporary, gives good signs of progress in peace talks that have been hampered by the lack of trust on both sides. Iran has also started allowing tankers to pass through safely through the Straits of Hormuz. Consequently, oil prices have also dropped to US$80 level from the US$100 per barrel level during the US-Iran war. It may take a few years for oil to drop back to the US$60 per barrel level as supplies from destroyed oil infrastructures during the war and also lesser tankers seems to be transiting the Straits of Hormuz relative to pre-war levels.
