Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB) August 2026: Year 1 (1.46%), 10-Year (2.06%)
By Turtle Investor  •  July 2, 2026
The SSB August 2026 issue pays 1.46% in year one and a 2.06% average over 10 years. The first-year rate is unchanged from July, but the 10-year average slipped from 2.11% to 2.06%, so the long end got slightly worse. Still the kind of rate you lock in and forget, not one that beats a good short-term cash option today. August 2026 SSB Interest Rates & Issue Details Year one pays 1.46%; the 10-year average is 2.06%. First-year is flat versus July, the 10-year average is down 0.05%. Hold to maturity and the rate steps up each year, from 1.46% in year one to 2.72% by year ten, which is how you get to that 2.06% average.

Hello there! I am Kevin and the author behind the Turtle Investor blog. At age 37, I hit CPF Full Retirement Sum (FRS) of $176,000 on the last day of 2019, twelve years after graduating from university. I am married and owns a 4-room apartment. I continue to be gainfully employed to build up my portfolio and provide my loved ones with better lives. Leaving everything behind and transitioning to a digital nomad life in Bali remains an option but not something that I’m actively pursuing now 🙂
