Good Redemption: Get 11th Gen iPad From Just 27,722 Miles

yuu users and DBS cardholders are able to redeem Apple’s 11th generation iPad (A16, 128GB) for just 99,800 yuu Points or 15,000 DBS Points. Is this a good deal? I think so, with a few caveats. Apple’s recent price hike increases the attractiveness of this redemption yuu Points can normally be redeemed for a valuation of 0.50 cents per point. Given that the iPad requires 99,800 yuu Points, this redemption works out to be exactly S$499 – matching the usual retail price of the iPad. It’s therefore a pretty unexciting redemption, until you factor in the fact that Apple has recently hiked the retail price of this particular model to S$649. Electronics chain stores, official resellers, and even individuals on Carousell have also increased prices to match, and I estimate that the street price of this particular iPad model now to be around S$600. For reasons unknown, both yuu Rewards Club and DBS seem to have priced it at the old retail price....
