For years I kept part of my Singapore holdings inside my own CDP account, and honestly, for good reason. Your shares sit at SGX under your own name, you keep your voting rights, and you get every free AGM buffet you deserve. But every time I bought or sold a counter, the fees quietly ate into my returns. And from 5 October, SGX is cutting the board lot size, so you can buy 10 shares of a blue chip instead of a full 100.
