"A lot of people, before they look at my career history, they might think that I started off in the investment world," he says. “Which is not quite correct.” Following his initial exposure to operations, he subsequently moved to investments, managing a portfolio in Australia, before taking on roles in financial advisory and then subsequently in private equity at a Dubai-headquartered firm. In 2016, he joined the trustee-manager he had advised, first as part of the investment team. He became KIT’s Deputy CEO in 2023, and CEO in October that year. Neo credits his early experience in operations with shaping the way he approaches investments today: not simply as assets to own but as businesses that can be actively managed and improved.
