Singapore in Trouble… We have to Adjust Now.

Singapore is ageing faster than many people realise — and this is not just a healthcare issue. A smaller younger population means fewer workers, fewer taxpayers, fewer caregivers and potentially fewer National Servicemen, while the number of retirees continues to rise. In this video, I discuss what a super-ageing Singapore could mean for: • Economic growth and productivity • Government tax revenue and healthcare spending • Our dependence on foreign workers, PRs and new citizens • AI, automation and robotics • National defence manpower • Working longer and reskilling later in life • CPF, investing and retirement preparation • The long-term impact on housing and property demand The key question is simple: If there are fewer young people supporting more elderly Singaporeans, how must Singapore change? My view is that we need to seriously think about four major adaptations: becoming more inclusive toward people who come here and contribute, embracing AI and automation aggressively, preparing much better financially for retirement, and remaining economically productive for longer. Singapore has adapted successfully to major challenges before. Ageing may be one of the biggest structural challenges of the next 20–30 years. Subscribe and share this video if you think more Singaporeans should understand what our demographic future could mean. #Singapore #SingaporeEconomy #AgeingPopulation #SuperAgedSociety #Retirement #CPF #CPFPlanning #Investing #FinancialPlanning #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Automation #Productivity #SingaporeJobs #ForeignTalent #Immigration #NationalService #Healthcare #PropertySingapore #RetirementPlanning #1M65...
