I have no degree, and recently I had to hunt for a job.
I’ve never had to hunt for a job before, because my previous few jobs were quite specialized and people came to look for me, not the other way round. I also have many contacts and acquaintances in the few years of working and doing stuff, but this time I decided to not let anyone know that I was looking for a job and do things the hard way.
Now, my experience will not be the same as someone fresh out of school with 0 experience. It’s harder when you have no experience, definitely.
First off, I think you should be willing to settle for less at the start. Without a degree, you’re saving 4 years of time to gain valuable experience, and it’s perfectly fine to start off on a lower pay. Most likely, you’ll be able ......
