Ever heard of the Global Disinformation Index (GDI)?
Freddie Sayers from Unheard published this article last month revealing about the GDI and the burgeoning anti-disinformation industry globally. Most of us are aware of how governments and regulators have been waging wars against ‘fake news’ and disinformation, but this article also illustrates that regulatory solutions can also do more harm than good and have unintended consequences that exacerbate confusion in societies.
Last month, a commentary from CNA on South Korea’s politics caught my eye. It opined that despite declining domestic support, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has to try ‘future-proofing’ Seoul’s alliances in the world.
