In a development that would have made investors in landbanking firm Profitable Plots heave a huge sigh of relief, the Singaporean director have returned from Britain on August 29, reports the 03rd September 2011 edition of The Business Times (Profitable Plots director returns from Britain).
In a bizarre move that even stumped a High Court judge, the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) allowed the female director to leave for Britain on “compassionate grounds’ to attend a wedding in August. This was after the AGC had refused her request to move to Johor Bahru as she could not afford to live here.
Established in 2004, both the Singaporean director and her British husband is under investigation by Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) for allegedly not paying the investors. The investments amount to $28m.
