MRL is one of my more publicly discussed trades on this website, originally done for Over the Hedge. Recall the past two posts on this topic here and here. Since I covered the short MRL did go up as I had (correctly) feared on the rebound of the woodworking company it had bailed out, Ecoblu. However, Ecoblu has now suffered consecutive double digit declines, from its last close high at 0.30 on Jul 5 to its Jul 12 close of 0.197. MRL on the other hand has not suffered as much, closing today at about 1.3. There does not appear to be a strong fundamental reason for Ecoblu to have lost so much market value, and its PR machine is still spinning well, so it is very possible that Ecoblu will rebound from its current level.
