Tuition fees and all living and studying expenses Three Year Uni course at NUS for son: $30.6K Four Year Uni course at SMU for daughter: $61.4K ( including an Overseas Exchange Programme in Paris) Total for two children = $92K! Remember that they are young adults so they may incur some additional costs in socialising with friends for entertainment and meals. I am 62 yrs old uncle living in HDB heartland who has achieved financial independence @ 56 and finally retired @ 60 from full-time job as employee on 1 Oct 2016. Single household income since 1995 with three children. Eldest son and daughter are now working and youngest son still in his 3nd year Uni in SUTD.
