In my travels I have felt very, very spendy. Many businesses prey on tourists, and they have a reason to. Tourists like to be spendy, and being away from home somehow allows us to escape from our responsibilities and good habits. I’m sure you have felt the same in your holidays. Recently I went to Hongkong, the land of materialism and spending. I felt like I was incredibly spendy. I tallied up the total amount of my purchases (not including my husband’s) and they were…… $55. Not too bad, right? My mustachian habits persisted even against my huge hobby of cosmetics. I only bought some small items and stuff I didn’t have. and supplies, which I waited to buy till Hongkong because it’s much cheaper there......
