I am playing the devil's advocate here.
When I flip through the newspapers or browse online, I see various courses touting to make you rich via stock trading, property investing and starting Internet businesses. In big bold text, the advertisement will have one participant proclaim, "I made $XX,XXX in one week!"
Sadly, paying $3,000 for the course, expecting an easy formula to join the millionaire ranks is an expensive daydream.
They should magnify the disclaimer in the advertisement: "Results will vary across participants".
Everybody is a different creature. We have different temperaments, different levels of risk aversion and different amounts of initial capital. What worked for the coach may not work for you and me.
If you are keen to attend such courses, please go with the same mentality as you would attend a cooking class or a dance lesson - to learn new knowledge and skills. If ......
