Should investors still buy into this STI stock?

Many Singapore investors have the perception that STI constituent stocks are relatively safer investments. While this could be quite true, we also note that these stocks are not “sheltered” from global stocks markets rout or a decline in a particular industry. Also, the business of STI constituent stocks could not always be smooth-sailing and hence when investors are not happy with what they note in a business, selling pressure could reign over any established track record.Genting Singapore stock is one STI constituent stock which was a popular trading play when the Singapore’s two Integrated Resorts were in their heydays. Nowadays, Genting Singapore stock seems to be a more humbler stock and is deemed not resilient in a slowly economy which may dent tourism numbers and hence Genting Singapore’s revenues.
