I’m a traditionalist in certain ways – starting with the fact that I tend to use my DBS Visa Debit card when overseas only in dire times, or when I’m running low on physical foreign currency.
At least, that was up until YouTrip landed in Singapore last year, a game-changing multi-currency card that eliminated pesky currency conversion fees. Since then, another three players have cropped up: Revolut, InstaReM and TransferWise.
