1M65 – CPF Rich, Cash Poor – A Life Well Spent or A Life Well Wasted?

I realised my last post about 1M65 brought about a little controversy and sparked a heated debate amongst those that strongly believe in the 1M65 or 4M65 movement. I stand by my statement. 1M65 / 4M65 is NOT for everyone. With that said, let's delve a little deeper into some of the comments made.
  • For those who refuse hardship and thrift while you are young, you will probably not see yourself getting wealthy at all. The Singapore Success story is because our forefathers worked very hard, lived simply and saved aggressively. Such virtues are sadly lost in some youngsters today. 
Somewhat of a sweeping statement here. This idea of working hard, living simply and saving aggressively. He's actually not wrong per se. In his generation, working hard, buckling down and saving aggressively did create immense wealth for some. However, it is important to move along with the times....
